Mrs Argentina and her continued rudeness
Recently, we had new windows put in, and they are really nice. But not sufficient for her, as she has commented numerous times now that she thinks we need siding. Apparently wood shingles aren't good enough for her.
Then, literally 3 days ago new neighbors moved in across the street from us. A young couple, our age, with kids. My husband was across the street introducing himself and chatting with the new neighbor when Mrs Argentina comes over, and before introducing herself by name, tells the husband that they need to remove their big tree in the front yard because too many of the leaves fall in her yard. Across the street.
Ben Folds New Album and 4th Wife
Ben Folds is hands down my all time favorite artist. Long before I was in college, and long after. I have seen him in concert multiple times and will see him again and again. It never ever gets old. Even if I do compared to all the other kids at the concerts.
His new album is out – Way To Normal – and I want it. I was going to get it for my birthday, then I didn't. Now I think I will just download it from itunes.
But this was interesting – I have become behind the times. He got divorced and then married again for the 4th time recently. 4 times? Really? That seems a bit excessive. Perhaps you aren't cut out for marriage. Here is an article about his last wife, and subsequently his new wife: http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,24231337-5012985,00.html
Apparently, he ran off with their yoga instructor and he married her 7 months after divorcing his 3rd wife. Now, I don't want to sound judgmental here, but that just isn't all that cool.
I will still love him though, and his music. And I am looking forward to listening to the new album.

Flock of Seagulls
"And I ran, I ran so far away……"
Ok, no. Not a THE flock of seagulls, and not even seagulls. A flock of pigeons.
Anyway – yesterday, on my drive into work, I was stopped at a light downtown. And I watched a huge flock of pigeons that generally speaking live on this one corner. They sometimes accumulate on the sidewalk, but this morning they were all on the roof of the building (Xerox actually). And they all left the roof together, swooped and dive bombed in formation, 3 different times and in three different patterns, all to land back on the roof. In unison. All in the course of the 45 seconds or so I was sitting at the light.
Apparently pigeons aren't as stupid as people think. It was actually quite fascinating.
