Flock of Seagulls

"And I ran, I ran so far away……"

Ok, no. Not a THE flock of seagulls, and not even seagulls. A flock of pigeons.

Anyway – yesterday, on my drive into work, I was stopped at a light downtown. And I watched a huge flock of pigeons that generally speaking live on this one corner. They sometimes accumulate on the sidewalk, but this morning they were all on the roof of the building (Xerox actually). And they all left the roof together, swooped and dive bombed in formation, 3 different times and in three different patterns, all to land back on the roof. In unison. All in the course of the 45 seconds or so I was sitting at the light.

Apparently pigeons aren't as stupid as people think. It was actually quite fascinating.
